Former 'Today’ Host Kathie Lee Gifford Shares Rare Life Update on Instagram

Kathie Lee Gifford is a grandma once again!
Less than two years after the former Today show host shared that her son Cody and his wife Erika welcomed their son Frank "Frankie" Michael (named after Kathie Lee's late husband Frank Gifford), the couple went on Instagram to announce the birth of their second son. Erika uploaded a video montage of the little one's first days, and gushed about how special it was to bring a new baby into the world.
"Introducing the newest love of our lives, Ford Matthew Gifford," she wrote on November 29. "Thanking God immensely for another perfect 'gifft.' Welcome to the world, sweet sweet son. 🤍."
Shortly after Erika revealed the news online, Kathie Lee shared her feelings about having another grandchild. "I am usually a wordsmith but I completely out of words," she emotionally replied in the comments section. "#Grateful to God the creator of every good and perfect gift like these four."
Kathie Lee also posted her own Instagram, featuring new photos of Ford with a sweet message. "Welcome to the family Ford Matthew Gifford. Thank you, God, for this beautiful blessing. Bubbe already loves you so much, Ford."
What's more, Today fans immediately sent Kathie Lee, Cody and Erika congratulations on the newest addition to their family. "Congratulations and welcome, baby Ford! He looks just like his big brother! They will be best of friends! Xo," one person wrote on Instagram. "He’s perfect," another added. "Congratulations. Such a blessing and beautiful family!!!!" a different follower replied.
Well, this news certainly adds more happiness to Kathie Lee's year of personal highs. Ford not only joins his big brother in the family, but he also has a new cousin to play with when he's older as well.
Back in June, Kathie Lee's daughter Cassidy announced on Instagram that she gave birth to her first child with husband Ben Werda, a son named Finn Thomas. At the time, the former news anchor emotionally wrote her own message to the couple, saying how their love was "beautifully expressed" in how they're raising the young boy.
