In tragic news, Ashley Massaro, who appeared on Survivor: China died on Thursday, May 16. She was just 39 years old. According to People, Ashley's cause of death has not been revealed, and it's not being treated as a criminal case.

The publication reports that emergency responders were summoned to Ashley's house in Suffolk County, New York on Thursday morning. The former reality show star was then taken to a nearby hospital. A Suffolk County Police Department spokesperson told the magazine that "an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause and manner of death."

Ashley, who starred on the Survivor spin-off back in 2007, was also a WWE Superstar. She won the network's Diva Search in 2005, and worked with the WWE for several years. The company released a statement regarding Ashley's passing that reads: "We are saddened to learn of the tragic death of former WWE Superstar Ashley Massaro. She performed in WWE from 2005-2008 and was beloved by her fellow Superstars and fans around the world. WWE offers its condolences to Ashley’s family and friends."

Ashley's fans have taken to social media to express their sadness over her death. In her most recent Instagram post, which was uploaded on May 7, many took to the comments to express that they are "heart broken."
