Former NFL Star Says Female Fan Stole His Last Name Out of 'Bizarre and Extreme Obsession'

Former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver T. J. Houshmandzadeh has filed a request for a temporary restraining order against a woman who has allegedly been harassing him for nearly a decade. And in the latest turn of events, the woman even had her last name legally changed to his.

According to TMZ, the court documents filed in Los Angeles state that Annette Marie Houshmandzadeh, 53, formerly Annette Selkirk, changed her surname after developing "a bizarre and extreme obsession" with the former NFL star and his family. Houshmandzadeh, known as "Housh" or "Hoosh" by his fans, claims that Annette has been contacting his wife and posing as the mother of his four children online.

He also says she's been sending harassing mail and personal items to his home, including one letter in which Annette said that she had "several bullets inscribed with the names of each member of the Houshmandzadeh family."

This isn't the first time Houshmandzadeh has filed a restraining order against Annette. The 46-year-old previously had one placed against her back in 2015, however after it expired in 2019, she resumed her harassment. He's now asking the judge to order Annette to stay at least 500 yards away from him and his family and to stop using his last name in attempts to gain access to his personal affairs.

After playing from the Bengals from 2001 through 2008, Houshmandzadeh played one season each with the Seattle Seahawks in 2009, the Baltimore Ravens in 2010, and the Oakland Raiders in 2011. He was also selected to the Pro Bowl in 2007 after tying for the league lead in receptions that season.
