Former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown was arrested in Broward County, Florida over the weekend for allegedly failing to pay child support to the mother of his 15-year-old daughter.

According to Miami's Local 10 News, records show that Brown was booked into jail on an out-of-county warrant around midnight on Sunday, and has since been released on a $15,000 bond. The 35-year-old's arrest comes after a judge ruled that he missed child support payments back in August; the second order against Brown this year.

Wiltrice Jackson, the mother of Brown’s daughter Antanyiah, told TMZ prior to his arrest that her ex owes her nearly $31,000 in unpaid child support and that she wanted him brought to justice.

"I do want him arrested," Jackson said. "Because, right now, he's making a mockery out of the judge, out of everything, because he feels like he's untouchable."

After a brief stint with the New England Patriots in 2019 before he was released due to sexual misconduct allegations, Brown finished out his NFL career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, after being suspended for three games for violating the the NFL's Covid-19 vaccination protocols during the 2021 season, the team later cut ties with Brown after he abruptly left the field in middle of game against the New York Jets in early January 2022.

"He is no longer a Buc," head coach Bruce Arians said at the time in a postgame press conference.

Brown is now officially considered a free agent, after announcing his retirement from professional football on March 2, 2023, only—much like another former Buccaneer—to reverse course and come back out of retirement just over a month later. As usual, Brown's off-field behavior continues to overshadow his professional career.
