From Country Living

  • Actress Scottie Thompson appeared on NCIS as Jeanne Benoit several times throughout the years.

  • She's now guest starring on NCIS: LA, but as a totally different character.

NCIS crossovers happen all the time. After all, Scott Bakula has been a part of the original show multiple times, as has Chris O’Donnell and LL Cool J. But normally, the actors appear as their same characters.

Which is why the most recent guest star on NCIS: Los Angeles is making waves. Some may remember Scottie Thompson from NCIS. She was on nearly 20 episodes of the series as Jeanne Benoit, who is probably most famous for getting cozy with Michael Weatherly’s character, Tony (don’t worry, Ziva obviously won in the end).

According to TVLine, Scottie is joining the cast of NCIS: LA this spring—but as a totally different person. This time, she’s playing Sarah Raines. Sarah works for the Defense Intelligence Agency and is investigating “unidentified aerial phenomena sightings” which the outlet likens to UFOs. Casual.

Apparently, Sarah’s superior goes missing and she has to work with the NCIS team to sort it out. But her “confident, all-business” attitude might make collaborating with them difficult.

TVInsider reported that Scottie’s last appearance on the flagship show was in 2016. She got more closure with Tony during that time, and since he’s now gone and presumably reunited with Ziva, we doubt Scottie will be back as Jeanne in the future.

She’s certainly been busy since her time on NCIS, though. Scottie has been on Training Day and 12 Monkeys, and even starred in the Hallmark Christmas movie Hope at Christmas.

Looking forward to seeing Scottie in the NCIS universe again soon!
