There’s nothing quite like taking that first bite into a crispy, immaculately salted McDonald's fry. Well, what if we told you you could recreate those same fries from the comfort of your own home?

That’s right. According to former McDonald’s corporate chef Mike Haracz, all you need to recreate McDonald’s iconic fries is a specific bag of frozen fries that are "almost identical" to Mickey D's, the right cooking technique, and a somewhat secret ingredient.

Ready to get frying? You'll first need to pick up a bag of Great Value Thin Cut French Fried Potatoes from Walmart. Once you've literally secured the bag, it's time to toss your McDonald's dupes into the fryer.

"I would recommend deep frying at about 360 to 370 degrees for maybe about two minutes, but there are a lot of variables depending on what fryer you have, what you're using...You're gonna want to do it in small batches until it reaches the color that you want," the former chef explained in a viral TikTok.

Oh! And before you begin frying, you're going to want to make sure that you add a bit of beef tallow (also known as rendered fat) to your oil. Haracz recommends adding two tablespoons of beef tallow per two cups of oil. Lastly, toss your fries with some Morton salt when they're fresh out the fryer. And voila!

Despite Haracz's video receiving nearly 750,000 views on TikTok, there are some skeptics.

"Honestly, it's not worth it for the fries. At home fries will never be the same as McDonald's," said one user.

"Sounds like its gonna be 40 times easier to just go thru the Mickey D's drive thru," another person added.

Would you be willing to try making your own McDonald's fries at home?
