Former 'American Idol' Star Kenedi Anderson Revealed Big Personal News on Instagram

It's been a while since we last saw or heard the name Kenedi Anderson. But it looks like the former American Idol 2022 contestant is hitting important milestones in her personal life off the stage and she's taking to Instagram to document them.
Fans of the ABC singing competition show may remember the 18-year-old singer from season 5 (overall 20th season) during which she impressed judges Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan and Katy Perry with her rendition of Lady Gaga's "Applause." The judges were so excited by her performance at the time that Luke said, "I believe you might be the biggest star we've ever seen." Memorable words coming from one of country music's biggest stars!
But as viewers know, Kenedi shocked when she exited the show for "personal reasons" in April. While she didn't share further details about her decision — only revealing that it was a "hard" one to make but "necessary" — we do now know what she's been up to since then.
Last month, Kenedi posted photos on Instagram featuring her finishing high school. The young singer attended prom and if we thought Kenedi looked gorgeous each week on American Idol, then her prom look definitely takes the cake. Wearing a nude-colored and white halter dress, she completed the look with simple makeup and a classic ponytail.
"Prom was a 20/10," Kenedi wrote on May 16, sharing highlights from the day with friends and family.
But prom wasn't the only major milestone she crossed. That's right, everyone — Kenedi is also now a high school graduate!
The singer also documented the momentous occasion on June 6, where she posed with loved ones celebrating the happy milestone. "No more school for meee hehehe #graduation," she captioned the series of Instagram photos, which featured her wearing a dark blue graduation gown and even some silly string in her hair.
Kenedi's latest life change are exciting lots of us can relate to and American Idol fans are thrilled for her too. "Congratulations on graduating! 🎉 Now you can hopefully look forward to an awesome summer and your new music 🎶," one person wrote. "Congratulations 🎉 Now go be a STAR!!⭐️🌟💫✨," another added. "May you continue to flourish and really hoping to still here some music from you in the future ❤️🙏🏻✨," a different fan added.
