Forget Kate Middleton Driving — Queen Elizabeth Didn’t Even Take a Road Test

How freaked out would you be if you were driving along in your car, jamming to music, and all of a sudden Queen Elizabeth cruised up next to you? Probably pretty surprised, right? Well that has to have happened to someone in the U.K., because the royals don't let their fancy lifestyles stop them from taking the wheel every now and then.

The latest example of "royals behaving like normal humans by driving" comes courtesy of Kate Middleton, who pulled her car right into Buckingham Palace, to the astonishment of onlookers.

While it's not often that Kate is spotted at the wheel, it's not exactly a royal rule that she has to take a backseat.

The only known royal rules about driving mostly concern Queen Elizabeth, who reportedly doesn't need a license and has never taken a driving test (because who cares about safety, apparently). As the head of state and the name on each issued U.K. driver's license, the monarch gets a free pass.

Other royals (thankfully) don't get such handouts though. Each Christmas, Prince Harry and Prince William drive up to Buckingham Palace too, and William also drove Kate home from the hospital after Prince George was born, letting their chauffeurs have the day off.

Still, we shouldn't be too surprised that some people thought Kate driving was evidence of her breaking some antiquated rule. After all, this is the same fan base that had a full on meltdown when Meghan Markle shut her own car door that one time.

And you thought you were dramatic.
