From all corners of the culinary world, people are sharing their condolences and celebrating the life of the late Michael Chiarello. Variety reports that the 61-year-old celebrity chef passed away in Napa, California, on Saturday after being treated for an acute allergic reaction that led to anaphylactic shock.

The following statement was issued on behalf of his company, Gruppo Chiarello:

"We deeply mourn the loss of our beloved patriarch Michael. His culinary brilliance, boundless creativity, and unwavering commitment to family were at the core of his being. He brought people together through the joy of shared meals, fostering lasting memories around the table. As we navigate this profound loss, we hold dear the moments we cherished with him, both in his kitchens and in our hearts. His legacy will forever live on in the love he poured into every dish and the passion he instilled in all of us to savor life’s flavors.”

Chiarello was host of Food Network's Easy Entertaining With Michael Chiarello for 10 seasons, and also starred in shows on PBS, Fine Living, and Cooking Channel. Thanks to his work on Easy Entertaining With Michael Chiarello, the celebrity chef would go on to earn three Emmys.

Chiarello's fellow Food Network alums Robert Irvine, Emeril Lagasse, and Geoffrey Zakarian were among those who shared their memories of the chef and spoke on how much he'll be missed.

"His love of life was wrapped around food and family and his pioneering blend of impossibly delicious California and Italian food will always live on," Zakarian wrote.

Chiarello's most recent Instagram post, which was uploaded in January of this year, is filled with comments from fans offering their condolences.

"So sad. A real chef. No glamour just grace and amazing food," a fan shared.

"One of my all time favorite TV chefs. God bless your family. Gone way too young," another well wisher added.
