It’s no myth that you can get as good of a workout at home as you can at the gym. If you like to run but aren’t a fan of doing it outdoors in the winter, you’ll need to invest in a treadmill to get your steps in. The problem: Treadmills are often big, bulky, expensive, and not to mention, loud — but not the Goplus 2-In-1 Folding Treadmill.
The Goplus 2-In-1 Folding Treadmill is one of Amazon’s best-selling treadmills — and it costs under $500. Its slim design folds flat and has wheels so you can slide it under the couch or roll it into a closet for storage.

It’s also pretty quiet. According to the product description, its 2.25HP motor is incredibly quiet, coming in at roughly under 60 decibels. That’s the same level as a normal tlaking voice.
“With a sturdy and durable steel frame and multi-layer shield design, it’s shock-absorbing and noise-reducing, making your running quieter, safer and more comfortable,” the product description says.
The Goplus 2-In-1 Folding Treadmill has two modes. With the handrail folded down, you can walk up to 4 kilometers per hour (about 2.5 miles per hour). This position also allows you to slide the treadmill under a table, making a treadmill desk.
With the handrail raised, you can walk, jog or run up to 12 kilometers per hour (about 8 miles per hour) and really work up a sweat. It comes with a remote control for adjusting your speed, a safety key to shut down fast in an emergency and additional hand bars you can add for extra support. (One thing to note is that with the hand bars attached, you can’t fold the treadmill completely flat.)
You can monitor your workout with its LED display, which shows time, speed, distance and calories burned. If you like to listen to music while you workout, you can connect your phone through Bluetooth to play music. It even has a phone holder for watching videos.
The biggest downside to this machine is that it doesn’t reach sprinting speeds. But its running deck is also shorter than most treadmills, so reaching those higher speeds with longer strides would be pretty hard anyways. And taller people with long strides should keep the running deck length in mind as well — it’s 40 inches long.
With that said, over 1,500 Amazon shoppers give the Goplus 2-in-1 Folding Treadmill 5 out of 5 stars.
“I was originally worried about the noise or even how fast I could go. The sound is minimal, and I have gone up to 8.0 [mph]. I bought it in red and I love the sleek design. It folds easily. I’ve gotten several compliments about it and I would purchase again,” wrote one reviewer.
“Just got this bad boy and I’m in love!” wrote another Amazon customer. “I tried it out on a quick 30 minute jog at 5.5 mph — the display and controller are super easy and it was just about complete right out of the box.”
