The Flying Banana to close storefront; mobile dessert trailer still open

The Flying Banana, which opened last year at 54 Center St. in Middleboro, has announced that it is closing its physical storefront.

In a Facebook post making the announcement, they said that they will be focusing on expanding their presence with their mobile dessert trailer.

“While having a physical location comes with many advantages, one thing it makes extremely difficult is to participate in local events, charity fundraisers, and other community outreach opportunities, which is the foundation of our business,” the post said.

This weekend, Friday, May 10, to Sunday, May 12, will be the last one for their brick and mortar location, according to the post.

If you have a gift card for The Flying Banana, the post also noted that gift cards will be honored at the mobile dessert trailer.

They urged their customers not to worry.

“The Flying Banana is not going away! We will continue to post our location, in and around the Middleboro area,” they said, promising to continue serving up their unique desserts.

“We appreciate all of our ‘Frequent Flyers’ for the support you have always given us through this amazing journey!” the post said.
