Florida Teen Struck By Train While Taking Photos
A University of West Florida college student was critically injured after being struck and dragged by a train along Scenic Highway in Pensacola, FL. Julia Laureano, 18, was reportedly posing for an artistic picture along the train’s tracks in Bay Bluffs Park when she was hit.

ABC affiliate WEARTV reports that the locomotive hit Laureano and, “dragged her several feet before she fell off onto some rocks.”
The UWF college freshman was rushed to Pensacola’s Sacred Heart Hospital following the accident. Laureano’s friend Leah Bateman, 20, was photographing her, and was snapping "artistic" shots of her,The Daily Mail reports, with an oncoming train in the background. Bateman was not harmed in the incident.

Though she remains in hospital, the Pensacola Police Department has said Laureano's injuries are not life threatening, according to the Northwest Florida Daily News.
