Florence’s 2nd Annual Chili & Beer Fest April 27

(FLORENCE, Colo.) — The Second Annual Chili & Beer Fest will occur on Saturday, April 27 at 11 a.m., where participants can fill their bellies with warm bowls of homemade chili and satisfy their thirst with a variety of beverages.

The event is co-sponsored by Florence Pioneer Museum and Florence Brewing Company as a fundraiser for Florence Pioneer Museum’s Historic Building fund. The money that is raised will be designated toward remodeling the Lamm O’Mac Research Library.

For those with a smaller appetite, the fee is $10 for a blow with a single serving, and the hungrier crowd can pay $15 for all-you-can-eat. The chili is served in handmade bowls made by P&G Pottery, that participants can take home afterwards.

Florence Brewing Company will be offering a variety of beer, cider, wine, mixed drinks, and sodas, and Atomic Sandwich Lab will be serving food if the chili runs out.

The event is taking place on the street between the museum and the brewery at 200 S. Pikes Peak Avenue in Florence and will last until food runs out.

Those willing to donate a crock pot of chili can call the museum at (719) 784-1904 to commit to making a pot of chili for the museum to serve.
