Flights to Europe Are Selling for $99, but You Have to Book Fast

Norse Atlantic Airways started service in 2021 with the mission of connecting travelers between Europe and different corners of the globe, all for an affordable price. Since then, Norse Atlantic has become a go-to budget airline for U.S. flyers looking to get across the pond without having to break the bank.

Spring break season is approaching soon, and Norse is looking to incentivize customers to beat the rush with some hard-to-beat deals. From now until Feb. 5, certain flights between U.S. cities like New York, Miami, and Orlando and European destinations like London, Paris, and Oslo are selling for just $99 for a one-way ticket. Act fast if you want to claim the deal, as the airline is requiring passengers to book their trip by Feb. 5.

The flights must take place between Feb. 1 and March 22 and be booked directly with the airline. Blackout dates vary by route. To find your deal, search your desired one-way route on Norse's website or use their calendar feature to find two cheap one-way tickets to make a round trip. And don't expect to fly first class; the discount fares are only for Norse's economy light class, similar to basic economy on U.S. airlines where passengers are only allowed one personal item that can fit under the seat in front of them. Each carry-on will run you $45 and a checked bag will be $60. If you want to choose your seat, that'll be another $20, and if you want a meal on your long-haul flight, food starts at $30.

As Norse's business operations continue to expand, CEO Bjorn-Tore Larsen explained to Simple Flying that the company grows with customer demand in mind. "We have studied where people want to travel," he said. "That is how we determine all our routes. We are there only to fulfill the demand that exists. We don't have the intention to start and then stimulate demand from scratch but rather go into thicker markets where there is a lot of demand and where our product will be welcomed."

It might not be summer travel weather just yet, but a winter getaway does often does mean less crowds and cheaper lodging rates.
