'The Flash' Super Bowl Trailer Shows Two Ezra Millers, Michael Keaton's Batman and Supergirl Enter the DC Multiverse

The new phase of Warner Bros. Discovery's DC Comics Universe has officially begun with the release of another look t the highly-anticipated The Flash.

Ezra Miller stars as the titular Barry Allen. Miller first appeared as a cameo in the DC Universe as the Scarlet Speedster in 2016 in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The new trailer shows fans a classic time travel incident gone wrong. In trying to change the order of events, Barry finds himself at a crossroads as he tries to return to his present reality. Crashing through the multiverse, Barry runs into another version of himself as he attempts to save his family. Trapped in the multiverse where General Zod has returned, he brings Michael Keaton's Batman out of retirement and rescues an imprisoned Kryptonian, Supergirl, the debut of Sasha Calle in the DC world. Ben Affleck's Batman also makes an appearance. The cast also features Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Antje Traue and Maribel Verdú.

The trailer is the first promotional feature for the film since Miller's controversial actions. Prior to the release of the trailer, DC revealed a new film poster in anticipation. The script was written by Christina Hodson and produced by Michael Disco and Barbara Muschietti.

The Flash speeds through to theaters on June 16. Watch the trailer above.
