Flamingo Estate’s designs for Beni Rugs, Scalamandré collabs with The Met and more

It’s shaping up to be a wild week at High Point. From backgammon board–inspired rugs to antelope-evoking side chairs, here are 10 exciting debuts to keep you entertained on your flight to North Carolina.
Scandinavian brand Reform tapped French designer Inga Sempé for the Column kitchen series. The contemporary cabinetry collection features soft rounded lines and monolithic columnlike handles, and comes in four shades of painted veneers, as well as natural oak or white ash finishes.
Humanscale is rolling out a fashion-forward line of upholstered ergonomic chairs. Launching on October 16, the debut reimagines the brand’s bestselling Freedom Headrest and Freedom Task chair in nine distinct Kvadrat textiles—including Vanir by Raf Simons and Elle from Sahco—with additional chair styles slated for release throughout the rest of the year.
The Wexler Gallery’s inaugural exhibit is on full display inside its newly opened Philadelphia space. The imaginative showcase features dozens of highly collectible designs by several of-the-moment artists, including an antelope-inspired chair by Jomo Tariku, a blossoming hand-blown glass chandelier by Andreea Avram Rusu and a sculptural plaster framed mirror by Gulla Jónsdóttir.
Beni Rugs tapped Flamingo Estate for its latest collaboration. Hand-woven from pure wool, the line features 13 playful designs bedecked in unruly rhythmic lines and eye-catching graphic motifs, including the grid-patterned Flower Floor, the spotted Leopard and the checkerboard-style Garden Fountain.
HBF Textiles dropped the highly touchable Deep Connections textile collection. The debut boasts three tactile, tonal patterns punctuated by organic lines and rich earthy hues, such as the velvet banded Agate Stripe, the pin-curled Moody Moss and the multicolored Tessellations.
In Common With unveiled the Saga series. Crafted from sustainable materials including aluminum and recycled plastic, the state-of-the-art lighting system features three modular deco-inspired styles—Solo, Duo and Trio—in multiple finishes, all of which can be custom-configured to suit your client’s task-lighting needs.
Mary McDonald added six bold geometric designs to her ongoing collaboration with Patterson Flynn. Introductions include the backgammon board–style Tric Trac, the Greek Key style Riviera and the labyrinth-like Le Passage.
Scalamandré teamed up with The Met for an artful collaboration. The launch spans more than 90 SKUs of wallpapers, fabrics and trims based on the museum’s most iconic artifacts, including an embroidered wall design inspired by 16th century combat armor and a ruffled tape that pays tribute to a bright canary yellow dress from 18th century Britain.
Lori Weitzner’s Sanctuary line for Artistic Tile is teeming with sophisticated whimsy. The collection translates the designer’s floral-embroidered Neptune fabric into intricately carved and laser-etched tile, and comes in your choice of three sumptuous honed stones including marble, dolomite and limestone.
Boll & Branch launched its first-ever furniture collection. In addition to three handcrafted bed frame styles and a sleek upholstered bench, introductions include a six-drawer dresser clad in maple-and-beechwood veneers and a pair of mitered nightstands with round feet and arched bases.
