It was to much furore that British Vogue revealed its first issue with Chioma Nnadi at the helm as Head of Editorial Content yesterday [Thursday 14 March] following Edward Enniful's departure from the iconic fashion publication. And with Edward's final issue featuring no less than 40 women on the cover – including Dua Lipa, Kaia Gerber, Maya Jama, Anya Taylor-Joy, Kate and Lila Moss, Cynthia Erivo and Oprah (!!) to name just a handful of the famous faces on the one cover, unheard of – the bar was set pretty high.

Luckily we were not disappointed. The April issue stars FKA Twigs perched on the roof of a black taxi wearing *that* Loewe yellow satin pin dress. You know, the one that Aubrey Plaza wore to the Emmy Awards back in January that sparked a whole host of hilarious memes with people comparing the design to a Post-it note?

But if you thought her cover look was worthy of conversation, you should see what she wore last night to attend a party in celebration of the latest issue's launch. Simply put, it was out of this world, a look only Twigs could pull off.

Decked in designers, she wore a Vivienne Westwood corseted mini dress under Stella McCartney's shaggy fur free coat from the AW24 collection recently showed at Paris Fashion Week. Marc Jacobs' sky-high Kiki platform heels in a vibrant slime green hue were on her feet, with the finishing touch a necklace from jewellery designer Alina Alamorean constructed from bronze spikes and worn draped around her shoulders.

Yep, we told you – unreal. And further proof British Vogue made the right choice in selecting FKA Twigs as their cover star to "represent the ideal of the modern British eccentric."
