FKA Twigs Says She’s “Never Known Herself Better” After Splitting From Robert Pattinson
FKA twigs talked about her relationship with ex-finacé Robert Pattinson while promoting her new album.
She spoke about “unmeshing” their lives and reflecting on what she wants in a relationship moving forward.
Earlier this week, Kristen Stewart shared that she wanted to marry her ex-boyfriend Robert Pattinson while they were dating, and now we’re getting another glimpse into Edward's Robert’s love life via his other ex, singer FKA twigs. Who knew this would be such a big week for R-Patz?!
FKA twigs just released a new album called Magdalene, and fans think that it references her three-year-long relationship with Rob, during which they got engaged. While speaking with New Music Daily With Zane Lowe, twigs talked about their breakup, saying:
That kind of, like, unmeshing, like when you’re with somebody, your lives become very entwined with, like, your friends and family and your routine. And then the unmeshing is like, you have to really find out—I had to really find out who I was. But I’ve always known who I am, but it’s just kind of discovering who I was in adult crisis. I feel like I've never known myself better.
And according to E!, Twigs shared that being on her own at the moment is “great. I have a dog and we hang...I’ve never felt younger.”
She also talked about learned to prioritize herself a relationship, adding, “As a woman, I was taught that your Prince Charming would choose you, and when he did, you were grateful. And it was more about you being chosen than asking, ‘What’s right for me?’ and ‘What do I need to be nurtured or to feel complete?’ Magdalene is unraveling that.”
