FKA Twigs Debuts New Shocking Red Hair on Instagram

From tousled curls to dizzying braids, FKA Twigs is no stranger to a hyperbolic hair statement. But it's not often the British R&B singer strays from her signature raven shade. Today on Instagram, she unveiled a tumble of spirals in a new atomic red hair color, one that's already beguiling her 1.4 million followers.

Whether a radical dye job or a trompe l'oeil wig crafted by her hairstylist Rio Sreedharan, there's no denying the fiery hue suits Twigs, who saturated her directional makeup in bold crimson on her recent Magdalene Tour. "Twigs invented RED," commented artist and collaborator Mahaneela underneath her selfie snap.

And in a surprise to no one, Twigs knows just how to punctuate the punkish hue; her gaze rimmed with sooty shadow, brows subversively brushed up, and her full pout traced in visible plum lip liner and finished with a slick of clear gloss.
