It's official! Fixer Upper star Chip Gaines has gotten rid of his mane.

Chip took to Instagram to announce a much needed change that fans were excited to see —a haircut. Fans rallied around the Magnolia Network star who previously donned shoulder-length hair when he announced that he'd be doing a big chop in order to raise money for charity. In an Instagram post he wrote, "I'm going to cut my hair, and I'm asking you to cut a check — and let's see if we can raise a boatload of money for the kids at @stjude".

Fast forward a few days later and Chip is ready for his makeover. If you're like us, you were probably thinking that he'd just cut a few inches off for a more manageable head of hair. And like us, you'd be so wrong. He went all the way and shaved his entire head. Yep, that's right — Chip is bald!

No worries, though. Those long, golden locks are going to be put to good use. Chip is donating his locks to Children With Hair Loss, a non-profit organization that provides human hair replacements at no cost to children and young adults facing medically-related hair loss.

Fans flooded the comments of his latest video of the big (bald) reveal with sweet comments. "What an amazing human being!!!", said one person. "Well done Chip! Make sure to add sunblock to that handsome bald head!!!!", joked another. Of course, his wife, Joanna, was right by his side when it was time for the big chop. In true Fixer Upper fashion, before Chip turned to see his new look in the mirror, Joanna asks "Okay, Chip! Are you ready to see your fixer upper?"

So far, Chip's fundraiser has raised over $320,000 for kids at St. Jude and you can lend a helping hand by donating here. In the meantime, we'll be continuously trying to wrap our heads around this interesting new look for Chip.
