Five things to do with your family this weekend: May 3-5

May 2—Looking for something to do with your family this weekend? Check out these activities around the Valley:

1. Head to Sunbury for an enchanted evening at First Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. STEAM Innovation Labs, 365 Market St., is partnering with The Milton Shoe Factory and The World of Fae Festival to bring some magic to the maker space. There will be fantasy art, magical crafts and a dragon cake for guests to feast upon. The event is free. Learn more at STEAM Innovation Labs' Facebook page.

2. Grab your pole and hang up your "Gone Fishin'" sign as you head off to the Annual Mifflinburg Fishing Derby at the Harry Haney Ballfields, 8th Street, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The Englehart family, American Legion Post 410, Buffalo Creek Watershed Alliance and the R.B. Winter Chapter of Trout Unlimited are once again holding the derby for kids up to the age of 12. There will be something for everyone, including educational booths, refreshments and a Chinese auction. Get more information at The Mifflinburg Children's Fishing Derby Facebook page. The Forest House Hotel, 10410 Buffalo Road, Mifflinburg, is also hosting a fishing derby on Saturday — Children aged 13 and younger can fish from 8 a.m. to noon, after which anyone can cast a line. There will be free food, trophies and prizes. More details are available at the Forest House Hotel's Facebook.

3. Get out and enjoy the warmer weather at Danville's Spring Fling on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The festival will shutdown Market Street from Route 11 to Front Street, as well as Lower Mulberry to Ferry streets and a portion of East and West Mahoning streets and East and West Market streets so dozens of vendors, organizations and artists can set up shop. There will be entertainment at the Canal Street Park stage. There is no admission. More details are available at visitdanvillepa.org.

4. Tee up for a good time at Library Mini Golf at the Rudy Gelnett Memorial Library, 1 N.
