Shopping for artificial Christmas trees can be difficult; there are so many different heights, looks and colors. And you most likely want to have this tree for years to come, so the choice really does matter. But with prices the way they are today, it’s hard to find a good Christmas tree without going into credit card debt for it. Luckily, Five Below brought back their Christmas trees this year and people on the internet are loving them. Plus, they’re finding ways to make them their own, which is even more fun.

Five Below’s Christmas trees seem to blow up the internet every year thanks to their cute nature and cheap, cheap prices. Their 4-ft artificial Christmas trees are $5.55, and they come in a 4-ft iridescent color too!

TikTok user @gigixelle filmed a very honest review of the 6-foot and 4-foot Christmas trees from Five Below that she bought last year (but, again, the same ones are on sale in the store for 2023). She noted that the “trees need a little bit of extra love” and are “little Charlie Brown Christmas trees.” She said that she has to do a lot of fluffing to make them look fuller and explains that they do not look like a $300 tree. But the fact that she can choose her own lights (because they’re not pre-lit) and customize the tree how she likes is worth not spending more on Christmas decorations.

“There’s something about these prices this year that is just not it,” she says.

And the finished product of her three trees from Five Below are pretty darling (and don’t “look” $5.55 after the fact).

TikTok user @kenjahb also got the $5.55 4-foot Christmas tree from Five Below and thought of a genius hack to make it look fuller. She went to the dollar store and bought fake pine needle garland that matched the tree to fill out its sparse areas, which made a world of difference in the end. And user @destineejordyn_ went ahead and bought two 4-ft trees and zip-tied them together. This creates a very full-looking tree for less than $12.

As many die-hard shoppers know, Five Below has a Five Beyond section which sells more expensive products for—you guessed it—a bit more than $5 (but still relatively affordable). This is where you can buy taller trees like the 6-ft artificial Christmas tree @gigixelle bought last year. Even though this tree is sold out online at the time of reporting, a lot of internet users on TikTok seem to be getting their hands on them in-store.

And even though the $20 6-ft tree is still a little sparse, TikTok user @bourntocreate used the same trick zip-tie trick we saw above. She bought two 6-foot Christmas trees from Five Below and combined them to make a full tree for only $40 total. She also noted that by combining them, this $40 Five Below tree was fuller than even her most expensive tree.
