Fitness influencer Lexi Reed is sharing her story.

The 32-year-old social media personality is known for bringing her followers along through her ongoing fitness journey, but her latest post took a turn for something more serious.

In the new footage uploaded on Wednesday, Oct. 18, Reed got "vulnerable" with her followers as she revealed the scars covering her body as a result of a battle with a rare disease called Calciphylaxis.

The condition—which can cause blood clots, painful skin ulcers and even serious infections, according to Mayo Clinic—has left Reed with "battle wounds" all over her body.

"It's not always easy to share images/videos of my body, but I know it's always worth it. ❤️" she wrote in the caption of the post, which featured "real, raw, open & vulnerable" video footage of Reed wearing just a sports bra and underwear to show her body's condition.

While explaining a bit more about the disease, Reed admitted that she hadn't even heard of it before, and neither had some of her doctors, who she said "had to look it up" before treating her.

The rare condition caused Reed to suffer from "dead necrotic skin that formed excruciating wounds" between her thighs and shoulders.

The disease left Reed "in tears daily," she said, as she recalled questioning her own strength and ability to keep going through the painful and frightening experience.

But despite being "terrified" of her future with the disease, which is known to have a high mortality rate, Reed insisted that her scars are now "proof" of her strength.

"Every scar is proof that I've been fighting for my life and against all odds - but this is healing & I'm not giving up no matter what calciphylaxis throws at me. ❤️"

The video—which was appropriately set to the tune of Alessia Cara's "Scars To Your Beautiful," received tons of love from her followers, who commended Reed for being so brave.

"You’re incredible ! Such an inspiration to EVERYONE !!! A warrior - keep fighting 🫶🏽🫶🏽💪🏼 always rooting for you!" one of her supports wrote.

"All I really see is your healthiness and smile shining through!" added another. "Your body tells a story, but so does that smile! Keep shining! ✨😁."
