Fitness Influencer Attempts Multiple Frontflips During Ski Trip

Stephanie Storm is a relatively well-known fitness influencer based in the U.K.

She has an impressive 107k followers on Instagram, a Gymshark deal of some kind, and is, for all intents and purposes, the last person you'd expect to start throwing (and landing!) frontflips on skis.

But here we are.

In reality, it's not a total shock that someone like Storm, who's clearly an athlete, can pull some sweet frontflips while skiing. Based on her video, she's at least a strong intermediate, if not an expert, skier.

I was more surprised with the crossover aspect.

On social media—and out in the world—subcultures tend to carve their own little niches that they remain within. Storm's a member of the gym/fitness niche, meaning her feed is mostly occupied by spandex, weightlifting, and high-calorie meals—not skiing. Watching her successfully hit jumps on skis was like seeing a popular Star Wars character appear in a Marvel movie. It doesn't totally compute.

Funnily enough, the opposite of Storm's situation—departing skiing to become a fitness guru—is happening. The Fagan twins, Deven and Kiernan, were up-and-coming professional skiers who jumped the skiing ship about three years ago and are now popular bodybuilders.

Personally, I'd rather leave fitness to go skiing—not the other way around—but whatever floats your boat or gets your pump on, right?
