First Trailer for Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget
It may have taken 23 years, but the chickens of Chicken Run are back in Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget.
That's right, those rebellious Aardman chickens are returning for another adventure in a tale that follows their death-defying escape from Tweedy's farm.
Ginger has finally found her dream — a peaceful island sanctuary for the whole flock, far from the dangers of the human world. When she and Rocky hatch a little girl called Molly, Ginger's happy ending seems complete. But back on the mainland, the whole of chicken-kind faces a new and terrible threat. For Ginger and her team, even if it means putting their own hard-won freedom at risk — this time, they're breaking in!
Writers of the original, Karey Kirkpatrick and John O'Farrell, team up with BAFTA nominee Rachel Tunnard to pen the screenplay for Academy Award nominee Sam Fell to direct.
Returning voice cast members from the original include Miranda Richardson as Mrs Tweedy, Imelda Staunton as Bunty and Jane Horrocks as the iconic Babs.
New cast members include Thandiwe Newton, taking over from Julia Sawalha as the voice of Ginger, and Zachary Levi, taking over Mel Gibson as the voice of Rocky.
Other voice cast replacements include Romesh Ranganathan taking over from Timothy Spall as Nick, Daniel Mays stepping in for Phil Daniels as Fetcher and David Bradley replacing Benjamin Whitrow as Fowler.
Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget hits Netflix on December 15.
