First Responders Pull Out All the Stops to Rescue New Jersey Dog with Head Stuck in Tire

Firefighters and first responders always go above and beyond to help people in their communities, and thank goodness they were on hand when a New Jersey dog decided to get herself into a really bizarre predicament.

Daisy the dog somehow managed to shove her head into a tire rim and thanks to the Franklin Volunteer fire department this silly pup was able to be freed.

The Facebook post explains that Lt Brandon Volpe who, with the help of the first responders on scene, used his own personal plasma cutters to free Daisy from the tire. What was going through this dog's mind when she decided to shove her head in there to begin with?

The post also explains how they first tried the old soap and water trick to free Daisy, so her head was basically like any of us who have ever tried to get one of our rings off our finger when we are retaining water. What a crazy dog.

People on Facebook are applauding the wonderful heroes on the team who saved this pup, and one person sweetly commented, "Only the ones with the biggest hearts can do the jobs you do first responders in every aspect police fire and ambulance do their jobs to the best of their ability with no concern for themselves God Bless you All and may your Angels ride on your shoulders Always." Another added, "Thank you Lt. Volpe and first responders for your service and dedication in helping Daisy. You all are truly Angels and were there when she needed help! I'm thankful she is okay. Blessings and HUGS to you all and to Daisy!"

Adventures of Other Dogs in Weird Places

Daisy isn't the only dog who has recently found themselves stuck somewhere odd, because a dog in Florida was recently rescued after they became trapped between two warehouse walls after chasing a raccoon or a cat. Firefighters had to cut between the two walls to save him.

In December of 2023 a tiny Shih Tzu named Maya had to be rescued after getting stuck in an air vent.

A dog in Phoenix, Arizona chased a cat and somehow ended up stuck in the car engine of a Chevy Nova. She was treated for minor injuries and then put up for adoption.

Daisy wasn't injured and is safe and sound at home with her owners. Hopefully next time this pup won't go sticking her nose where it doesn't belong!
