The First Official Trailer for ‘The Addams Family’ 3D Movie Is Finally Here

This brand-new trailer for The Addams Family is a low-key blast from the past.

MGM just dropped the first official trailer for the 3D movie, and it appears nothing has changed since we last saw the ghoulish gang. (Well, except for the fact that they’re now facing off against a greedy TV host.)

The trailer begins by introducing viewers to different types of families. “Every family is different,” the narrator says in the clip. “But some families are more different than others.”

Cut to lightning striking the Addams family mansion, where Gomez and Morticia are taking in the home’s interior.

“It’s hideous. It’s horrible. It’s home,” they say in unison.

The teaser also features a number of familiar faces, including Pugsley, Wednesday and the iconic red balloon from the It movies. (Seriously).

The Addams Family is based on the comic series by Charles Addams and follows the family through a new adventure: reality TV.

The new version features an all-star vocal cast, including Oscar Isaac (Gomez), Charlize Theron (Morticia), Chloë Grace Moretz (Wednesday), Finn Wolfhard (Pugsley), Nick Kroll (Uncle Fester), Bette Midler (Grandma), Allison Janney (Margaux), Joaquin Phoenix (Cousin Itt), Alex Baldwin (Pubert) and Sarah Paulson (Aunt Goomba).

Conrad Vernon (The Land Before Time) and Greg Tiernan (Sausage Party) directed the film, and Matt Lieberman (The Christmas Chronicles) wrote the screenplay.

The Addams Family will hit theaters on October 11, just in time for Halloween.
