We Have Our First Look at Young Lady Danbury in Bridgerton’s ‘Queen Charlotte’ Prequel!

Dearest readers, the ton, by which I mean the internet (heh), is abuzz with everyone’s first look at young Lady Danbury—played by Arsema Thomas—in the upcoming Bridgerton prequel Queen Charlotte. And she looks incredible:
Netflix describes the character as follows: “With keen knowledge of the once divided social scene and the intricacies of marriage, Agatha becomes a guiding light for the new queen, all while finding her own voice and power.”
As a reminder, Netflix previously released a photo of India Ria Amarteifio as young Queen Charlotte:
As well as a quick clip from the show featuring Queen Charlotte meeting her future husband, King George:
And here’s Netflix’s description of the show: “Centered on Queen Charlotte’s rise to prominence and power, this Bridgerton-verse prequel tells the story of how the young queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton.”
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Golda Rosheuvel, who plays Queen Charlotte in Bridgerton, will also be reprising her role for the series, leading to speculation that the show could feature flashbacks/flash-forwards.
THR also has some more plot details and notes that “Charlotte arrives in London betrothed to the King of England against her will” and then discovers that “the royal family isn’t what she expects.” But the outlet notes that she learns “how to navigate her unpredictable husband,” as well as the ton, and becomes one of “Europe’s most unforgettable monarchs.”
