Take a First Look at the 'Spider-Man 2' Gameplay

Marvel has officially released a first look at the gameplay for Spider-Man 2, showcasing impressive animations in the middle of Earth-1048's Big Apple. For the sequel, the Playstation 5 exclusive features not one, but two Spider-Mans — including a Symbiote-bound Peter Parker and Miles Morales.

Players will be able to seamlessly switch between the two heroes at the push of a button as they aim to capture Lizard (Dr. Connors) and defeat Kraven the Hunter and his goons. The game promises to delve deep into Peter's relationship with Symbiote and continue the story of both characters. In combat, Symbiote's tendrils enhance Peter's every attack while Morales maximizes his edge with new bioelectric gadgets including Web Line and Web Grabber, which enable new Thunder Burst and Chain Lightning abilities.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is developed by the award-winning Insomniac team responsible for the original Marvel's Spider-Man (2018) with Ryan Smith returning as game director and Bryan Intihar returning as creative director. The title is currently expected to be single-player only.
