LWhen the Specialized SWAT (Storage, Water, Air, Tools) program started in 2013, it consisted of a few pocket-intensive clothing pieces, and a redesigned Epic mountain bike with a pocket for a mini tool built into the frame.

Since then, the program has grown to include more clothing, more on-bike storage, and beyond. One of the more intiguing products just landed at my door: the Bandit flat repair kit ($25).

It’s essentially a fancy tool roll that bolts into a (compatible) Specialized seat. It has a pocket for an (included) tire lever, a 25g , and a fat Velcro strap for locking it all down.

The advantage: It’s sleekly integrated, low profile, quiet, and—because of an aluminum frame—very solid. The Bandit is road- and mountain-friendly (it will accept a 29er tube), and dropper-post friendly because it is strapless and low profile.
