First Lady Jill Biden Looks So Lovely in Cornflower Blue at King Charles's Coronation

Dr. Jill Biden has made a statement of support with Ukraine with her coronation look.

The first lady is attending the first British coronation to take place in 70 years this morning, where she'll witness the crowning of King Charles III and his wife, Camilla, the queen consort.

Jill is leading the United States delegation to this weekend's events solo, and traveling with her granddaughter Finnegan Biden, as her husband, President Joe Biden, is not in attendance. (No sitting U.S. president has ever attended a British royal coronation.)

For the occasion, Jill coordinated with Finnegan in blue and yellow looks, the colors of the Ukranian flag. The first lady wore a lovely skirt suit in a shade of cornflower blue, comprised of a pencil skirt and jacket with an asymmetrical front and no buttons. She added a matching blue bow in her hair, which she wore loosely curled, and completed the ensemble with champagne-toned heels and a matching clutch.

Meanwhile, the 24-year-old wore a pale yellow ensemble featuring a midi cape dress, matching heels, a small white bucket bag, and a yellow flower headband.

The pair were seated next to Olena Zelenska, wife of Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky for the ceremony at Westminster Abbey. Ahead of the ceremony, Dr. Biden retweeted a photo of herself alongside Princess Kate and Zelenska at Friday's Buckingham Palace reception for world leaders and dignitaries. For the caption she simply wrote, "We stand with Ukraine."

Jill arrived in England late Thursday evening and began her packed schedule of events yesterday, as she met with Akshata Murty, wife of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, at 10 Downing Street.

"It's an honor to represent the United States for this historic moment and celebrate the special relationship between our countries," the first lady wrote in a Thursday tweet.
