*Warning: Spoilers ahead*

Tonight’s finale of The Golden Bachelor was, as host Jesse Palmer would say, dramatic. Gerry Turner's journey to find love after loss came to an explosive end in the highly anticipated episode, where the 72-year-old got down on one knee and proposed to—drumroll, please—Theresa.

So, who is the lucky lady? And where are they now? Keep scrolling for details about The Golden Bachelor finale.

1. Who Won The Golden Bachelor?

Disney/John Fleenor

In the emotional finale, Turner got down on one knee and proposed to Theresa. Of course, she said yes. The pair reunited in front of the live studio audience and confirmed they are happily in love—so much so that they’re getting married in a televised wedding on January 4, 2024.

We didn’t see this coming. Yes, Theresa has been a frontrunner ever since Gerry gave her the first one-on-one date. But he seemed to have a stronger connection with Leslie. Gerry dropped the “L” bomb with Leslie long before he did with Theresa. And during his overnight date with Theresa, Gerry told producers that he couldn’t stop thinking about Leslie. (Blame it on the editing.)

2. Who Were the Final Two?

ABC/Ricky Middlesworth

Meet Theresa, a financial services professional from Shrewsbury, New Jersey. She’s navigating love after loss (just like Turner) as a proud mom and grandma. As the first one-on-one date recipient, she’s been a frontrunner from the start.

Next up is Leslie. She’s a former professional figure skater, so it’s no surprise that her athleticism has carried on to her golden years. The Minneapolis native currently works as a personal trainer and fitness instructor. When she isn’t training for a marathon, she’s probably spending time with her grandchildren.

3. Will There be a Golden Bachelorette?

ABC/Craig Sjodin

ABC hasn’t confirmed if there will be a Golden Bachelorette after The Golden Bachelor. But now that Leslie is single, there are loads of options alongside Faith, Joan and April.

Despite the lack of information, Palmer is hopeful about the possibility. “As the show goes on, you learn more about these women, what they’ve been through,” he told TODAY. “I think there’s going to be a swell in support of there being a Golden Bachelorette. That’s my personal opinion.”

“I can’t speak on behalf of executives or anybody else, obviously,” Palmer continued. “I’m sure everyone’s waiting to see how this one goes first. But I know there are thousands of women across America deserving of that.”
