Former FBI director James Comey fired back at President Trump on Saturday after the Commander-in-chief sent out a particularly unhinged tweet.

Donald Trump tweeted out a series of somewhat connected thoughts, mainly referring to the firing of FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe on Friday night. Attorney General Jeff Sessions fired McCabe almost 48 hours before his retirement benefits would've kicked in after 21 years of FBI service.

Referencing that, Trump wrote, "The Fake News is beside themselves that McCabe was caught, called out and fired. How many hundreds of thousands of dollars was given to wife’s campaign by Crooked H friend, Terry M, who was also under investigation? How many lies? How many leaks? Comey knew it all, and much more!"

Comey, whose book, A Higher Loyalty, is expected to be published in April, jumped right in and tweeted back minutes later, "Mr. President, the American people will hear my story very soon. And they can judge for themselves who is honorable and who is not."

To refresh your memory (because so much has happened in this administration that it's impossible to keep track!), Trump fired Comey last May. He originally said it was because of Comey's probe into Hillary Clinton's emails, but then later admitted to NBC's Lester Holt that it was because of "this Russia thing."
