We Finally Have a Charles Manson for Quentin Tarantino's ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’

At long last, we can finally put a face to the person who inspired Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. (Well, sorta.)

Quentin Tarantino just cast Damon Herriman as the one and only Charles Manson, according to The Wrap. You probably recognize the Australian actor as Dewey Crowe from Justified and Kim Gordon from Secret City.

Herriman is joining a star-studded cast, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Rumer Willis, Connie Stevens, Lena Dunham, Austin Butler, Lorenza Izzo, Maya Hawke, Damian Lewis, Luke Perry, Dakota Fanning, Clifton Collins Jr., Nicholas Hammond, Timothy Olyphant and Kurt Russell. Yep, we weren’t kidding.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood takes places in the ’60s in Los Angeles and follows a struggling actor, Rick Dalton (DiCaprio), and his stunt double, Cliff Booth (Pitt), who live next door to Sharon Tate (Robbie), a victim of Manson and his cult.

The film will hit theaters on August 9, 2019 (aka the 50th anniversary of the murders). *Shivers*
