After getting some good surf during the last couple of days of the Corona Open J-Bay, the competition is officially over.

Filipe Toledo and Lakey Person have claimed victory in South Africa.

Bothers surfers were psyched in the congratulatory clips posted by the WSL.

The post was captioned:

"Congratulations @filipetoledo, now a 3x winner of the #CoronaOpenJBay! 🏆🏆🏆"

Winning the contest also means Toledo has provisionally qualified for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris and will represent Brazil at Teahupo’o, Tahiti.

Meanwhile, a congrats clip was also posted for Peterson.

The WSL commented on the post: "Congratulations @lakeypeterson, winner of the #CoronaOpenJBay 🏆"

This year's Corona Open J-Bay was Peterson's first CT win since 2019.

According to the WSL, "Peterson answered the standard set by Molly Picklum and upped the ante with an excellent 8.50 to solidify her first win of the 2023 season. Peterson now moves to No. 6 ahead of the final stop of 2023.

Naturally, both surfers received an outpouring of congratulatory comments on each post.

Tatiana Weston-Webb, who won the contest last year said: "Goooo lakey!!!!🔥❤️ so happy for you! Hard year and so well earned. We are all going through the same thing together. To see your tears of happiness and the hard work paid off is beautiful 🥰🙌"

One viewer said to Toledo: "Great win!! You're an incredible champion! And a really awesome example of what a classy and respectful human looks like! Yew!!!🤙🏼"
