Figure Skater Gabriella Papadakis Had a Wardrobe Malfunction During Her Olympic Routine

The Olympics have already been full of fun, surprises, and a few disappointing moments for those of us sitting on our couches and watching to behold. After all, they're basically an entire marathon of events for Herculean-level humans to show off their super-skills while those of us who can only dream of their talent watch on in disbelief. However, there are also a few moments that bring us back down to Earth and remind us that these Olympians are really just humans, after all, and that's exactly what recently happened to French figure skater Gabriella Papadakis during her Olympics routine with partner Guillaume Cizeron.

According to Yahoo Sports, Papadakis suffered a wardrobe malfunction during the pair's recent Olympics routine that caused the top part of her costume to come undone, briefly exposing her left breast for a few moments on the ice. The costume was a halter top (though it did include additional shoulder straps) and in the beginning moments of the routine, Cizeron's hand must've accidentally caused it to come loose. However, because of the additional straps, the costume mostly held up except for a few moments here and there, and you wouldn't have known anything had gone wrong by looking at Papadakis' face — she went about the rest of the routine flawlessly, like a true professional.

She did address the mishap after the routine, though, saying, "It was my worst nightmare happening at the Olympics,” Papadakis said. “It happened in the first few seconds [of the routine]. I told myself I didn’t have a choice; I have to keep going.” She told reporters that she got through the rest of the routine by praying. Even with the malfunction, she kept a positive attitude, saying, "I think we should be proud we were able to deliver a strong performance with that happening." What a pro.
