"Fictitious Dishes" Depicts Literature's Most Memorable Meals
Those who spent their childhood with noses in books will likely be tickled by “Fictitious Dishes,” a stunning collection of intricately-staged photographs of literary meals by the artist Dinah Fried.
The book, which hit shelves April 15 and runs about $20, is like an edible walk through your high school English curriculum. “The Great Gatsby”? Check. “On the Road”? Here, too. “The Catcher in the Rye”? Well, of course.
The photos have flitted around the internet since 2012, but this is their coffee table book debut. And what better way for a food-loving bookworm to showcase her interests?
