Get more fiber

The 2024 Fiber Arts Fiesta is coming to the Manuel Lujan Building at Expo New Mexico from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, April 12, and Saturday, April 13. Enjoy vendors, exhibits and classes at the event, which features guilds from across the state. Tickets are $10, with parking at Expo NM, 300 San Pedro Drive NE an additional cost. Desert darlings

The Cactus and Succulent Society of New Mexico is hosting a show and sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 13, and Sunday, April 14. Admission to the event, at the Albuquerque Garden Center, 10120 Lomas Blvd. NE, is free. The show will display several hundred plants, and the sale will feature a wide variety of cacti and other succulent plants. Visit new-mexico.cactus-society.org for more information.

Science experience

The National Museum of Nuclear Science & History is hosting a science-powered party from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, April 12. "Discovery After Dark" is an 21+ event and participants can explore the museum and enjoy hands-on experiments ranging from making slime to liquid nitrogen ice cream. Honoring icons

The Recuerda a Cesar Chavez Committee is hosting the 31st annual César Chávez and Dolores Huerta Fiesta from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. The event is free and open to the public, and will feature a Kids Corner, food trucks, car show, La Marcha de la Justicia (March of Justice) and more. The Friends of the Public Library are holding a book sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 13, at the Main Library Activity Room, 501 Copper Ave. NW. Shop more than 25,000 books, CDs, DVDs and more. Admission is $2, free for members.

Come to the 'Dark Side'

KiMo Theatre is hosting the Pink Floyd Laser Spectacular from 8-10 p.m. Friday, April 12. Enjoy a laser and light show set to the music of the legendary band. Tickets are $30-$40 at artsandculture.cabq.gov.
