Festival aims to satisfy foodies in the Las Vegas valley

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Foodies across the Las Vegas valley will want to take note. A festival geared just for them is gearing up for a return.

According to the event’s website, the Great American Foodie Fest is “one of the largest food-centric festivals on the West Coast,” promising dishes prepared by chefs featured on the Food Network, Cooking Channel, and Travel Channel.

Jackie Stevenson, co-owner of Sharp BBQ, showed up some of the eatery’s signature dishes Tuesday, including brisket, ribs, and a smoked brisket sandwich — all with plenty of barbeque sauce, a necessity.

“So barbeque, soul food, Mississippi, that’s us,” Stevenson said, detailing the construction of the “Sharp BBQ cupcake,” a sandwich-like creation consisting of macaroni and cheese, topped with brisket, barbeque sauce, and “crunchies.”

It’s just one of the delectable treats available at the Great American Foodie Fest, which will run from April 26 to 28 at the Galleria at Sunset in Henderson. The website for the event has ticket information and more details.
