*Sigh.* What we would do to travel back to the '80s just for a day.

Wait, it actually looks like we'll be able to pretty soon! The iconic '80s movie, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, is finally getting a spinoff, letting us revisit one of our favorite eras and coming-of-age movies. It'll be called Sam and Victor's Day Off!

The spinoff was first announced back in August of 2022, when it was reported that Cobra Kai creators—Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg, and Josh Heald—were the ones moving the needle behind this project. Say what?! Yep! The showrunners behind one of our favorite Netflix series (which, by the way, is a Karate Kid spinoff within itself), are going to be giving us what appears to be our next favorite thing.

Information back in 2022 was sparse, but now we know a little more about what to expect, including what the film will be about. Read on for everything you can expect from Sam and Victor's Day Off.

What will Sam and Victor's Day Off be about?

If you're a fan of the original 1986 film, then you remember the two valet attendants who took the infamous Ferrari for a joyride while Ferris (Matthew Broderick), Cameron (Alan Ruck), and Sloane (Mia Sara) stepped away for a bit. Those two small side-characters (who were played by Larry “Flash” Jenkins and Richard Edson) didn't have names in Ferris Bueller's Day Off, but have since been named Sam and Victor. So, the new film, directed by David Katzenberg, will follow them and give us a more in depth understanding of their characters. Maybe we'll even get to see just what they did on that joyride!

We're here for it!
