Ferragamo Names New CFO
MILAN — Salvatore Ferragamo has appointed Pierre La Tour as group chief financial officer, effective March 18.
La Tour will take on strategic responsibilities and succeeds Alessandro Corsi, who exited Ferragamo at the end of September to join Italy-based MinervaHub as chief executive officer.

With extensive international management experience mainly in publicly listed companies, La Tour was previously group CFO and investor relator at Biesse Group, which designs, manufactures and distributes systems and machines for processing wood, glass, stone, metal, plastic and composite materials aimed at the furniture, housing and construction, automotive and aerospace sectors. Clients include prestigious names in Italian and international design.
A graduate in economics from the University of Geneva in Switzerland, La Tour began his career in the nonprofit sector for the Aga Khan Foundation, working in microfinance, both centrally in Geneva and in Pakistan and India.
After an experience in Asia with Société Générale, he joined the Fiat Group in 1997, and was appointed CFO for Iveco Defence Vehicles in 2008. In 2014 he took on the role of CFO for the Specialty Vehicles business unit created within CNH Industrial, controlled by Exor and the Agnelli family.
In 2015, he was called to serve as CFO China for Shanghai-based CNH Industrial, a role he ceased in 2019 to join Biesse.
“I am delighted to welcome Pierre La Tour to our team,” said Marco Gobbetti, CEO and general manager of Ferragamo. “I am sure that his international profile and diversified experience will be a great added value for our Group.” Gobbetti joined Ferragamo from Burberry in January 2022, tapping Maximilian Davis as creative director of the brand two months later.
La Tour’s appointment was revealed on Monday at the end of trading in Milan, where Ferragamo is publicly listed.
The Florence-based luxury company is due to report its preliminary 2023 revenues Thursday.
