MJ RODRIGUEZ: I think people are intimidated by femininity, especially divine femininity. I think that's just a thing, and they're just going to have to get over it. You know, and I think the reason why there's so much intimidation is because, I mean, it's power. And that's why we don't fully have it yet, because there are certain individuals-- men-- who are restricting that.

So when I was 20 and fully coming into myself, I knew that there were going to be things against me, but I still did it. It was small things like putting on a head wrap and getting hoop and hollered at and being like, leave me alone. Even those small things were steps forward to me just being more confident in my existence on this earth.
