We’re counting down the days until the premiere of Outer Banks season two, which is hitting Netflix on July 30. To bide the time, the streaming service recently released a recap video that not only reintroduces the characters, but it also highlights key moments from the first season that led up to the dreaded cliffhanger.

“OK, so last summer was wild,” John B. (Chase Stokes) says in the clip. “Let’s roll it back to the beginning.” The video re-introduces viewers to John B. and his “crew”: JJ (Rudy Pankow), Pope (Jonathan Daviss) and Kiara (Madison Bailey).

Although they were expecting a normal summer in the Outer Banks (a series of islands off the coast of North Carolina), they soon embark on an impromptu treasure hunt that was originally started by John B.’s late dad.

The problem? They aren’t the only ones who want the gold. This includes John B.’s boss, Ward Cameron (Charles Esten), who will do anything—we repeat, anything—to derail their mission. Everything changes when John B. enlists Ward’s daughter, Sarah Cameron (Madelyn Cline), who helps them secure the treasure.

“It was strictly professional,” John B. says. “Well, all right, not so much.”

Sarah’s brother, Rafe Cameron (Drew Starkey), ruins everything by committing a murder and then framing John B., who is now on the run with Sarah. Oh, and did we mention that everyone thinks they’re dead?

BRB, counting down the days until July 30.
