There are reality dating shows like The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, where everyone at least *pretends* to be in it for the right reasons.

And then there’s FBoy Island, where some people are literally just DTF—and they’re not apologizing for it.

In case you didn’t catch the amazingness that was season one of FBoy Island, the HBO Max reality dating show hosted by Nikki Glaser features three single women who are looking for love among a group of 13 self-proclaimed “Nice Guys” and 13 who consider themselves “FBoys.”

In the mix are single women Mia Emani Jones, a 26-year-old dental student from Tampa; Louise Barnard, a 25-year-old model from Onekama, Michigan; and Tamaris Sepulveda, a 29-year-old account executive from New York, New York.

There’s a $100,000 cash prize on the line, and everybody wants it. Throughout the show, the ladies attempt to guess which of the men are “Nice Guys” or “Fboys,” in hopes of splitting the money with their new honey.

Well, the finale just dropped and this season was absolutely shocking. Throw out everything you think you know about the show because these ladies just entered unprecedented territory.

OK, so you probably have some burning qs going into season 2—here’s what you need to know.

Warning: spoilers ahead! Don't read past this point if you don’t want to know what happens in the upcoming episodes of FBoy Island.

What happened in the season 2 finale?

Instead of the men choosing either to continue dating their woman and split the cash prize or to go home solo and keep the entire sum for themselves, the show gave the power back to the women.

In the finale, host Nikki Glaser offered the women a third option: leave the island single and keep the entire $100,000 for themselves.

And one woman took the opportunity. After struggling to connect with the men, Tamaris ultimately decided to keep the $100,000 for herself, per Showbiz CheatSheet. Turns out, she was an “FGirl” the whole time.

Who did Tamaris, Louise, and Mia pick?

Despite teetering between Nice Guy Casey Johnson and Nice Guy Tom Carnifax, Tamaris brought Niko Pilalis back from the Nice Guy Grotto for a last-minute 24-hour date.

Clearly, a spark was missing with all three, as Tamaris picked herself over any of the guys on the show and kept the prize money.

“I choose myself,” Tamaris said, per Showbiz CheatSheet. “I can’t be anyone’s girl.” Major respect.

Louise, on the other hand, let her heart be her guide. She was faced with a difficult decision while choosing between FBoy Mercedes Knox and Nice Guy Benedict Polizzi.

It’s clear that Mercedes and Louise have more chemistry, but Benedict claimed to be a “gentleman” who “doesn’t have a toxic bone in his body,” according to Showbiz CheatSheet.

However, Louise went with her gut and chose to continue dating Mercedes, who ended up splitting the money with her.

Mia chose FBoy Peter Park. Although FBoy Danny Louisa did his very best to change her mind, Mia and Peter split the money and even made plans to grow old together. Aw!

Are Louise and Mercedes still together?

“I had in the back of my head, ‘Maybe I should just screw him over before he screws me over,’” Louise told Variety. “And so I decided it wouldn’t make sense for me to take the whole $100K.”

Louise chose Mercedes, and she says her “heart melted” when he split the cash. But watching his confessionals back was “infuriating.”

In the interview, she revealed that their current status is...complicated. They took a break after filming, but they plan to celebrate the finale together in Miami. "We’re on good terms, but it’s kind of up in the air right now," she told Variety.

Are Mia and Peter still together?

Since their return to social media, Mia captioned an IG post from July, admitting that she “knew she f*cked up” when she sent her Nice Guys home. “Everyone has a lot to say about my decisions on the show,” Mia continued, per Bustle. “But last time I checked…it was our show and our feelings.”

She posted about the love she found on the show in mid-July—for her “girl gang.”

Today, Mia calls Peter her "friend." She told Variety that they talk once or twice a month. But since he lives in D.C. and she's in Miami, the distance is too much. "It just wasn’t gonna work out, because we’re both F-People," she said.

She has stayed in touch with runner-up Danny, though. She admits that she hurt his feelings when she didn't pick him. "He actually cares about me," she told Variety. "We talk almost every day. But who knows?”

Peter also returned with a less-than hopeful IG presence. He posted a photo shortly after he got back with the lyrics from Future’s Wait For U, “Tried to bring the best out you, guess I’m not that influential.”

Is Tamaris still single after the finale?

It appears that Tamaris is single after leaving FBoy Island alone in March. Although she hasn’t confirmed or denied her current relationship status, her IG would suggest that even if she had a new fling, it probably wouldn’t be with someone from the show.

Of her final contestants, she only follows Niko on social media, but it doesn’t seem like they rekindled things, per Bustle.

Before the twist was revealed, Tamaris told Variety that she intended to chose Casey.

“I was like, ‘Can I see myself with these guys in the future?’ It was never about the money, because regardless, I was gonna get the $50K. I was going to win,” she said. “To be honest, I wasn’t in love. If I was in love, and I would have felt like these girls felt for these guys, then it would have been a different story. But I wasn’t, so I had to choose myself. I can’t settle for less.”

Will there be an FGirl Island?

As for the future of the franchise, all three leads told Variety that they’d love to see the roles reversed with an FGirl Island spinoff.

“F*ck yeah!” Tamaris said. “I would teach those little girls how to be a real FGirl.”

Who is back from season 1?

  • Peter Park, 31

  • Casey Johnson, 27

  • Garret Morosky, 29

Peter Park, 31, who was eliminated on the first episode of season 1 as an FBoy, returned for the second season.

In the final minutes of episode 6, each contestant was forced to reveal their true identity and intention. But in a total cliffhanger move, the producers ended the episode right before Peter spilled his status.

Casey Johnson, 27, who was a runner-up during season one, also claimed he had turned over a new leaf. And during the big reveal, Casey was confirmed to be a Nice Guy. Phew.

Casey’s BFF from Season 1 is also back. Yup, Garrett Morosky, 29, the previous season’s villain and ultimate FBoy returned.

After ditching lead Sarah Emig and opting to keep all of the $100,000 cash prize for himself, the show’s producers saved the day and donated the money to charity instead. Garrett made his reappearance at the end of season 2 episode 1 when the eliminated FBoys found him waiting for them in Limbro.

Is Peter Park a nice guy?

In episode 7, it’s revealed that Peter Park is an FBoy once again. Sigh.

But, while on a date with Mia, Peter said that he was back on the island for a “genuine connection,” per Showbiz CheatSheet. After previously claiming he returned as a Nice Guy, I’m having trouble believing anything Peter says.

With this revelation, Mia was left with only Fboys: Peter, Kian, Braydon, and Danny. Brutal.

Who is the villain this season?

That crown goes to Mercedes Knox. “I’m playing this game at the highest level it’s ever been played,” he said on the show. “No one has ever played his game the way that I have, and probably no one ever will.”

Basically, the mastermind over here plans to be so charming and memorable that Louise falls in love with him. Then, he intends to run away with the cash, he admitted in a confessional.

Mercedes also said he would never play as a “Nice Guy” on the show because “they never win.”

First, he told Louise that she is “absolutely perfect.” Then, at a cocktail party, Mercedes manipulated a drunk Nikolai and encouraged him to come clean to Louise. Nikolai took the bait and told Louise that he had referred to her as a “dumb blonde.” Tricky, tricky!

  • Episodes 7-8: July 28th

When did Season 2 come out?

The first batches of episodes dropped on July 14th, FBoys and FGirls!

HBOMax announced the date with an Instagram post. "This season on FBOY Island, we're taking a more thoughtful, refined approach to matchmaking. Just kidding! It's gonna be a mess. #FBOYIsland Season 2 premieres July 14, only on HBO Max."

Did host Nikki Glaser return?

Yep! “I couldn't be happier about returning to FBoy Island for Season 2," the standup comedian told Variety in 2021. “The only downside is that it confirms my greatest fear: that there are more than 12 fboys on planet earth."

She shared in an Instagram post: “This show is hilarious and unlike any other dating reality show you’ve seen,” and promised that viewers would “laugh so damn much.” She also assured newbies that watching the first season is not required to enjoy Season 2.

Nikki said in a previous Instagram post that the second season is even better than the first: “Thank god. Who knew if it would be?? But it is. IT IS. 🍆🍆🍆🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️," she captioned the video.

She gives the sage advice, "Follow your hearts, follow your tits, whatever." She even slips in a Pete Davidson joke.

Is FBoy Island real?

Of course, it is! Well, as real as a reality show typically is. Former star Sarah Emig told E! that the show is “completely unscripted," though.

“In real life, you don't get all these completely eligible bachelors," she said. "You'll get some FBoys, you'll get some nice guys, and you have to figure out who is who, so I think it was a really interesting take on the modern dating scene."

What is the point of FBoy Island?

To find love, of course! And to win $100,000 cash—but definitely, ya know, love first. Winners on the show can either split the cash prize with the person who chose them or keep it themselves.

What does FBoy Island stand for?

Um…an "FBoy" is a "f*ck boy," i.e., someone who just wants to screw around and isn’t interested in anything serious. FBoy Island is just a play on that.

Where was FBoy Island filmed?

Although the first season of FBoy Island was filmed in the Cayman Islands, Season 2 takes place in Mexico, per The Cinemaholic.

The cast and crew jetted to Cabo San Lucas, soaking up the warm weather and gorgeous beaches.
