The heat was turned up a few notches on Fboy Island’s latest episodes. HBO Max’s new dating series is starting to answer some burning questions: What are the signs of an Fboy? Will the guys have to identify themselves? What are they hiding? Many of the guys on the show have been hiding behind a veil thus far—namely the Fboys–and while we had our suspicions on who is an Fboy, the jig is up in Episode Five. And if you’ve seen Episode Six, you know some potentially game-changing secrets were revealed. Here’s the tea.

So, we already know the budding relationship with Sarah Emig and Garrett Morosky has been rocky, but he remained one of her top suitors, along with Josh. After the elimination in Episode 3, Garrett had a hard time explaining away the allegation that he had a girlfriend at home as he entered the show. Knowing it would hurt his chances of staying on the show, when he got some alone time with Sarah, he tried convincing her the relationship at home was over before he arrived on the island.

“When I came here, it was a mutual decision between us [him and his alleged ex-girlfriend], to end it,” Garrett explained to Sarah. “I’m here to find love and I wouldn’t be here if I was with her.”

For many, hearing this information about Garrett might’ve been a cue to eliminate him, but Sarah kept him in the game believing he was ready to address his issues and “change.” It didn’t end there though. Episode Five’s elimination was a shock to the guys because they had to confess their status as either an ‘Fboy’ or a ‘nice guy,’ but it was no shock to viewers to find out that Garrett came to the island as an Fboy.

To make matters more intense, host Nikki Glaser gave the women a laptop “to do what women do best: stalk, spy, and snoop away” at each of the guys’ social medias. Garrett’s Instagram had pictures and videos with his ‘ex-girlfriend’ by the name of Lauren Coogan. Sarah was shocked to see the two kissing and publicly claiming each other in a relationship. And of course, it went completely against Garrett’s explanation of Coogan as “someone he was just talking to.”

Sarah issued Garrett an ultimatum: the two of them can FaceTime the ‘ex-girlfriend’ together to confirm the relationship ended or Sarah was done with Garrett. Garrett chose to do the FaceTime, but he stormed out mid-conversation because of the things Coogan was telling Sarah.

“He’s a multi-faceted person. He can blow up, then he can be vulnerable, then sensitive, then come across really harsh,” Lauren said to Sarah.

Sarah forgave Garrett when Lauren confirmed it was a mutual break, but it was still suspicious to viewers especially after finding out Lauren is actually one of the late additions to the cast of Love Island. The reality TV crossover has viewers confused regarding the truth behind their relationship–some even believing Garrett and Lauren are in cahoots to win the cash prize on Fboy Island and return home with each other. But, it looks like we’re going to just have to wait and see if the final episodes of the series will expose the truth.

Catch the last episodes (including the finale) on HBO Max August 12.
