Your Favorite Sub Shop Potato Chips Are Coming to Stores for the First Time Ever

Big news for us snackers.

Whether you’re a Jersey Mike’s, Firehouse Subs, or Subway person, we’re sure you have your go-to order. You could be a build-your-own Jersey Mike’s sub Mike’s Way (of course) kind of person, like Nick Jonas. Or a classic turkey and mustard sandwich at Subway kind of girl, like Alison Roman. Or, maybe, you’re like me and love a Hook & Ladder from Firehouse Subs. No matter what it is, it’s your own and it’s your favorite.

But, just as important as your sub choice is your sides choice. And, even though Subway tries to tempt us with its footlong sweets, for us savory lovers, there’s only one correct answer: a bag of crunchy, salty chips.

You might not have noticed until now, but all three sub chains sell the same chips. That’s because they all have agreements with Frito-Lay—meaning they’re stocking Lay’s, Doritos, SunChips, Fritos, and Miss Vickie’s chips at every restaurant.

For many of us, trips to our beloved sub chain also mean the one chance we get to enjoy Miss Vickie’s extra-crunchy kettle-cooked potato chips. Because, unlike most of the Frito-Lay portfolio, Miss Vickie’s have historically only been sold at sandwich shops. Meaning the “we have chips at home” excuse your mom used to give you when you begged for a side couldn’t work with Miss Vickie’s.

But, now, for the first time ever Miss Vickie’s chips are hitting retailer shelves nationwide.

Miss Vickie's Chips Are Headed To Grocery Stores

You'll now be able to find Miss Vickie’s potato chips at multiple grocery retailers for the first time since the brand’s beginning in 1987. That means the days of buying extra bags during your Jersey Mike’s trip are through because Miss Vickie’s will now be stocked at Amazon, Sam’s Club, Walmart, and Kroger stores nationwide.

While the in-store portfolio won’t include all the flavors you can find at sub shops, it will have five of the most classic flavors: Applewood Smoked BBQ, Honey Mustard, Jalapeño, Sour Cream Herb & Onion, and Sea Salt. Hopefully, we’ll see flavors like Sea Salt & Vinegar, Spicy Dill Pickle, and even the Subway-inspired Baja Chipotle flavors soon.

Miss Vickie’s kettle-cooked chips will be sold in both a traditional eight-ounce size and a larger 22-ounce size meant for club stores. The flavors are already hitting shelves now, so if you haven’t spotted them yet, you will soon.

Now we can enjoy our kettle chips at home with every sandwich, hamburger, hot dog, and meal, just like Miss Vickie intended it.
