The feature has been a staple since the iPhone 12 and, save for the iPhone SE, is available in every new iPhone on sale, including the latest iPhone 15 series.

While MagSafe works fabulously with wireless chargers, an entire ecosystem of first- and third-party accessories — like snap-on wallets, cases, and batteries — also work with it. It’s essentially a convenience-boosting system, consolidating accoutrements that you’d normally have to carry separately into one package or letting you keep the phone charged more easily.

To help you find the best MagSafe accessories available as I updated this article, I began my search by tapping into previous coverage by editors at Best Products. I then supplemented the picks our tech editor, Stefan Vazharov, already had here with my own. I’ve been using MagSafe for the past few years with a compatible case, wallet, and wireless charger, giving me first-hand experience to make informed picks. From chargers and stands that redefine convenience to a minimalist snap-on wallet, these are the best MagSafe accessories every iPhone owner could benefit from.

MagSafe Charger

Apple's own MagSafe charger is a small but versatile tool for iPhone owners. It has a maximum power output of 15 watts, so it’s plenty fast. And the accessory uses Qi wireless charging tech, so it will still work with AirPods and older iPhone models that don’t have MagSafe. There’s a built-in cable and a USB-C connector but no bundled power adapter, sadly. We recommend this reasonably priced option, though keep in mind if you don’t have one already that it will bring the total cost close to or over $50.

3-in-1 Cube with MagSafe

The Anker 3-in-1 Cube is the MagSafe charger to buy for someone who owns multiple Apple devices. The small block can charge a MagSafe-compatible iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods, providing 15 watts of output power. The top portion of the Anker cube features a hinge that allows you to adjust the angle of the charging surface. This functions as a stand and makes it possible to charge the iPhone propped up and take advantage of a new iOS 17 feature called StandBy, which shows helpful widgets like a calendar or alarm clock.

Many 3-in-1 MagSafe chargers are large and take up a lot of surface space. The Anker charging cube is much more compact when all three charging surfaces are in use; it’s even smaller when it’s collapsed down, making it easy to take on a trip. Notably, the Anker 3-in-1 comes with a 30-watt charger and a USB-C cable, so it’s ready to provide power right out of the box. Anker’s charger was a hit last holiday season, with supply difficult to come by. We recommend picking one up as soon as possible with the holidays approaching.

Base One Max

MagSafe chargers are a dime a dozen, but none are as beautiful as the Nomad Base One Max. The brand’s 3-in-1 charger looks like it came straight out of Apple’s labs; it features a luxurious metal-and-glass design that feels solid. At 1.7 pounds, Nomad’s charger is hefty, but that’s not bad because it stays anchored onto surfaces, making removing an iPhone from the charging pad easy without everything slipping.

The Base One Max can charge an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods simultaneously—and it’s MFi-certified so that it can deliver a maximum charging power of 15 watts. The charger requires a 30-watt power adapter, which you must buy separately. A bummer. Otherwise, Nomad’s Base One Max is the closest thing we’ll get to a 3-in-1 wireless charger from Apple. The brand also offers the Stand One, a wireless charger with a single pad that can deliver 15 watts of charging power.

Wireless Charger

Belkin’ Wireless Charger is a more affordable and versatile alternative to Apple’s MagSafe charger. It matches the 15-watt charging speeds of Apple’s puck but ups the ante with a built-in kickstand, allowing the suer to prop an iPhone while charging. Consequently, the kickstand facilitates iOS 17’s new StandBy mode. This feature turns the iPhone into a smart display while charging horizontally, providing big, easy-to-see widgets when the device is locked.

Additionally, the Wireless Charger features a lengthy 6.6-foot braided cable, so the phone doesn’t need to sit quite so close to an outlet when it’s plugged in. Its compact size makes it an excellent option for traveling, but its simple design will also look good on a desk or nightstand. Keep in Mind: The charger doesn’t have a wall adapter. You’ll need to spend a bit extra for one.

Wood MagSafe Stand

The Grovemade wood MagSafe stand is a handsome accessory fit for a desk or workstation. Meticulously crafted in Oregon, it has a stainless steel base and stand, leather and wood accents, and a natural cork base. It weighs almost 3 pounds, and that weight helps it stay in place.

Magnetic Battery Pack

Check out this for a more powerful, versatile alternative to the Anker 622. Ugreen’s MagSafe power bank features an internal 10,000-mAh battery — double the capacity of the Anker. You get 7.5-watt charging speeds and, as a bonus, the ability to power three devices simultaneously, thanks to 20-watt USB-C and USB-A ports. These features make Ugreen’s charger a must-have for those who own multiple devices, like an iPhone, iPad, and AirPods.

The pack also features a built-in kickstand, making it possible to charge the iPhone while propping it up for a FaceTime call. It’s little touches like that, plus the larger battery capacity, that make Ugreen’s magnetic battery worthwhile. And at half a pound, it doesn't add much weight when attached to an iPhone, making it great for travel. Plus, while the Ugreen battery pack is relatively new (it launched in July), we’ve already seen it on sale several times.

For the past few years, Apple’s slim and luxurious leather wallet with MagSafe was the go-to for carrying an ID and credit cards. However, now that Apple is moving away from leather, the brand has introduced the eco-friendly FineWoven Wallet with MagSafe. It’s made of a durable microtwill material that offers a soft, suede-like feel, and it delivers the same minimalist experience that made Apple’s previous leather wallet such a staple.

Like Apple’s other MagSafe accessories, the FineWoven Wallet has the magnets to keep it attached to the iPhone. But if it does get left behind, the wallet works with Apple’s Find My tracking feature, which will show its location via the app. It can hold up to three cards and is shielded, so it’s safe for credit cards.

With Apple moving away from leather and on to a new FineWoven material, Satechi’s magnetic wallet fills an important void in the MagSafe accessory market. For starters, Satechi’s version can hold four cards simultaneously, making it easier to ditch a standalone wallet and carry more. The wallet also doubles as a stand to prop up the iPhone vertically or horizontally when watching videos or making video calls over FaceTime. This is thicker than most other MagSafe wallets, which generally don’t offer kickstands and can only hold a maximum of three cards. However, the tradeoffs are worth it.

The wallet is available in four colors (black, dark blue, brown, and orange) and is made from more sustainable vegan leather. It’s also compatible with Apple’s entire lineup of MagSafe-compatible devices, except the iPhone 12 mini, which Satechi said is too small.

Modern Leather Folio Case
