The designer trainer debate
Demand for designer trainers continues to grow - and French first lady Brigitte Macron is the latest convert, swapping her signature heels for £780 Louis Vuitton trainers.
"I will confess to having a YSL pair which were eye-wateringly expensive," says Marianne Jones. "I've literally worn them to death, but even so, the cost per wear is maybe about £1.50 - they were that expensive."
"I love a Golden Goose, and they are not cheap," says Kat Farmer. "You can usually get hold of them in the sale, which is great, but they're £300, £400. And the worst thing is, the first pair I bought home, my daughter did turn round and say, 'did you get them from the charity shop?', because they have that vintage look."

It might still be warm enough for summer dresses but that hasn't stopped us from seeking out the best winter coats around. And between us - Marianne is 5'3", Charlie 5'6", and Kat 5'10" - we've found some corkers to suit all.
