Good Luck Finding A Magazine Without Kardashians or Jenners

Lest you think Katie Grand’s LOVE magazine has a monopoly over the Jenner/Kardashian clan, the latest issue of Carine Roitfeld’s CR Fashion Book serves as a reminder that TV’s first family is fair game.

Instead of Kim, or even the equally in demand Kendall, Roitfeld moved further down the family chain and shot Kylie (who also appears in LOVE, by the way). The thing is, Roitfeld couldn’t remember her name. “I am still very faithful to the Kardashians because I started with Kim,” she told Style.com. “So I still wanted someone from the Kardashian family in my magazine. It is not her, it is the younger sister, what’s her name? Kylie.” On the one hand, there are a lot of them, so how is a woman as busy as Roitfeld supposed to keep track? On the other, have we reached peak Kardashian/Jenner when we’re just throwing whoever’s free into magazines left and right. Will Rob be next? Who will be the first to dress Bruce in Balmain post-transition?

Roitfeld did add that she cast Kylie for good reason: “I think she has a very interesting face.” And sure enough Kylie, whose face is often caked with makeup, looks more natural than ever in the above photograph by Michael Avedon, part of the magazine’s “Jolie Laide” portfolio. At this rate, you won’t be able to turn the pages of any magazine without finding pictures of Kendall, Kylie, Kim, Kris, or Kanye. If only they’d named Rob with a ‘K.’
