Ioan Gruffudd, who played Reed Richards, a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic from the Fantastic Four films, was granted the restraining order he requested against his ex-wife earlier this year.

On Aug. 2, a U.S. judge allowed for the restraining order banning his ex-wife, Alice Evans, from saying anything about him on social media, including a specific rule stating that she can't share private text messages between Gruffudd and their children, according to new information shared by Daily Mail.

Gruffudd and Evans were married from 2007 to 2021. They share two children together, 12-year-old Ella and 8-year-old Elsie.

The Forever actor's reasoning behind the restraining order includes claims that he, his girlfriend, Bianca Wallace, and even his mother, Margaret Griffiths, received threatening messages from Evans, as reported by Page Six.

Previously, the court granted Gruffudd a temporary restraining order, until the Los Angeles court confirmed the official three-year order this week.

The 48-year-old was present to hear the ruling granting the Domestic Violence Restraining Order while Evans was absent.

Along with the banning of social media, Gruffudd also requested that Evans be stopped from contacting his employer or making disparaging statements about him to them.

A source told Daily Mail, "Ioan [Gruffudd] had no choice but to up his legal fight over Alice [Evans]. She had become increasingly volatile and seemingly intent on destroying his career with her character assassination. He hopes this will put an end to it."

Evans has been continuously posting personal and emotional parts of her divorce and the court battles on her social media, like Instagram, including a video of her scanning through a court document about her ex-partner and their relationship with the children.

Gruffudd requested joint custody of Ella and Elsie, while Evans filed for sole custody.

As of writing, Evans hasn't responded to the news of the restraining order.
